We're here with another awesome Zen Dog Spotlight with adorable golden retriever, Rory! Every Tuesday we get to see this happy boy, on his weekly walk with fellow retrievers, Bernini and Samantha and our Zen team member Molly. They always have a fantastic adventure. Rory has a smile that just doesn't stop, and did we mention how much he loves the beach and his family! Take it away Rory!
State your full name and let us know a bit about your background.
"My name is Rory. Rory means red king in Gaelic. My human family come from England and Scotland so they wanted my name to represent something from there. I am a puppy from Solea’s litter and I am red with a little white spot on my chest just like her!"
What is your favorite toy and why?
"I love tennis balls and try to keep one nearby in case anyone wants to throw it. I love to play fetch -in the backyard, in a field and especially in the ocean."
What does your typical day consist of, and what would your ideal day include?
"My favorite parts of the day are my walk and cuddling with anyone. Most days my family walks me but on special days I get to go for a group walk with DogZenergy in my retriever group. Every day is pretty much my ideal day because I am loved so much."
Who is your best friend and how did you meet?
"My best friend was my little black and white Havanese brother Leo but he went to doggy heaven. It took me a long time to stop feeling sad about that but my cat sisters Alice and Lulu and my family all helped. I love Samantha and Bernini who are my Golden friends in my ZenDog retriever walking group. I used to see them every day when my mom had a broken foot but now that she can walk me again she still arranges for me to see them every week because she knows how much I love hanging out with them and our walker Molly. When I see Molly’s little red car driving up to my house I get so excited because I know it is time to see her and my buddies."
What is the one question you wish your human would stop asking you, and the one question you wish your human would never stop asking you?
"When I am playing I don’t like when they ask if it is time to go home. I love when they ask if I’d like to go for a walk."
