Since 2006, mother-daughter team - Brittany and Karen Alwerud - have been loyally serving the pet parents of La Jolla and the greater San Diego area. Brittany started DogZenergy when she was at UCSD and with the help of her mom, Karen, they have built a business together that they take great pride in. With their amazing team of conscientious, responsible and loving dog walkers, Brittany and Karen will guarantee you that your dog will always be treated with love, kindness and compassion. 

Growing up, Brittany and her mom trained horses and their home was always filled with dogs and other animals. Fueled by a love and passion for working with animals, they have put their heart and soul into building DogZenergy into San Diego's award-winning boutique dog walking agency. Brittany is the pet parent to two golden retrievers, Taj and Daisy, two kitties named Tiger and Monkey, and two horses named Gracie and Moo. Karen has a Senegal parrot named Riley and a 17-year old Yorkie named Chloe who still acts like a young pup!

Dog walking is not just a walk in the park (no pun intended!). Here at DogZenergy, we are not just walking dogs, we are walking family members who have sensitive souls, routines, likes, dislikes, individual personalities and different styles of communication. We regularly attend conferences provided by these professional organizations to ensure that we are always improving our service. We are licensed through San Diego City and insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates and the Business Insurers of the Carolinas.
