In this week's Zen Dog Spotlight we have double the fun for you with Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lucy and Bischon Frise/ Toy Poodle, Gracie! Our daily adventures with these two are always a blast, and of course they make friends with everyone they meet. These two are thick as thieves, Lucy such a wonderful big sister to Gracie. The stage is yours girls!

State your full name and let us know a bit about your background.

Gracie 10 years old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel: I met my mommy and daddy when they came to pick me up at a shelter when I was 1 and a half. I’m so happy to have found my permanent home."

Lucy Cupcake Snowflake 1 year old 50 percent Bichon Frise, 45 percent toy poodle and 5 percent uknown : "My mommy thought she wanted a puppy and contacted a local breeder. She then came to visit and play with my brother, sister and me. I cozied up to her and laid on her lap so she would pick me."

What’s your favorite toy and why?

Gracie: "Whatever toy I’m trying to steal from Lucy."

Lucy: "My raccoon squeaky toy because I like to chew on it’s head and tail and make it squeak. Gracie always tries to take my toys away and I bark at her when she does."

What does your typical day consist of, and what would your ideal day include?

"Typical day: Get up around 7am, nap for a while, go for a 1 hourwalk, nap some more, play in the backyard.

Ideal Day: Going to the dog park every day to play with friends. Getting treats and taking a nap."

Who is your best friend and how did you meet?

Lucy: Gracie is my best friend. I look to her for what I should be doing and feel most comfortable when she’s around."

Gracie: "Bella is my best friend. I love when she comes to visit. She is my mommy’s best friend’s dog."

What is the one question you wish your human would stopasking you, and the one question you wish your human would never stop asking you?

"Stop asking Do you have to go potty. I’ll let you know. Keep asking Do you want a treat. Yes of course!"

6. If you were going to win an award at the "Oscar Pet Awards"would you want to win it for  1.) Cuteness 2.) Heroism/Courage3.) Sassiness 4) Loyalty 5) Fashionista.  Give us a quick example/story of why we should pick you!

Lucy: "Cuteness – Everywhere I go people say “oohhhh look how cute she is”. It’s also because I’m small for my breed so everyone thinks I’m a puppy and I love the attention."

Gracie: "Loyalty – I am a good listener and come when I am called. I prefer to be by my daddy’s side at all times and I love to keep my family company."

A huge thank you to Gracie, Lucy, and their awesome mama Carolyn for participating in this week's Zen Dog Spotlight!
