Welcome back to another wonderful Zen Dog Spotlight with adorable miniature schnauzer, Gabbie! Gabbie has the biggest heart in the cutest little body, and everyone who meets her falls in love instantly. She's been featured on our social media, showing off her sweet face multiple times. Take it away Gabbie!
State your full name and let us know a bit about yourbackground.
"GABRIEL SCHWARZBACH. I am a purebred miniature schnauzer born in Indiana. As an infant I was shipped to a pet store in New York City where I was“rescued” (I was there for a month!!) by mom who stopped in on her way home from Sunday boozy brunch and decided (despite having ademanding job and loads of travel) that I was a perfect purchase. Iwooed her over with my angelic face and longing eyes (and I was onmy best behavior). I moved to Philadelphia when I was just over ayear old and San Diego when I was just over three years old."
What’s your favorite toy and why?
"Any toy! I love to play:)"
What does your typical day consist of, and what would your ideal day include?
"On a typical morning I leap off my bed, head out for a walk, upon returning eat my breakfast, hopefully convince my mom to play fetch with me for a bit, sleep, sleep, shift, sleep some more, rush to the doorto meet my walker from DogZenergy, enjoy my mid-day walk (sometimes with friends), sleep, sleep, sleep, jump up when I hear my mom’s keys, go for an evening walk, eat dinner, cuddle, go to sleep."
Who is your best friend and how did you meet?
"George, another mini schnauzer, my first and current crush!!! He livesin Pennsylvania, so I don’t get to see him much (aside fromFaceTime). His mom played a big role in finding me a home;)"
What is the one question you wish your human would stop asking you, and the one question you wish your human would never stop asking you?
"Ready to do your business? Want some more treats?"
If you were going to win an award at the "Oscar Pet Awards" would you want to win it for 1.) Cuteness 2.) Heroism/Courage 3.) Sassiness 4) Loyalty 5) Fashionista. Give us a quickexample/story of why we should pick you!
"Loyalty - I never leave my mom’s side. I follow her like a littlepuppy;) She doesn’t need to even use my leash when I’m with her(although she still does). I would never leave her. I travel with her allover the country - I’ve been on many cross country flights, trains, subways, road trips, sailing, running.. always together!"
Any other insight you would like us to know?
"Apparently the move to California has not been good for my figure:(Whenever my East Coast friends come to visit they comment on mypudginess. I’m starting to get a complex. I miss city living, but I doNOT miss the rain! I have many nicknames – Gabbie, Gabster, Gaba,Gabbie girl.."
Thank you to Gabbie and her mama Liz for participating in this week's Zen Dog Spotlight!
